Title: Chocolate Oat Chip Cookies

1c(2 sticks) margerine or
  Butter softened
1 1/4cFirmly packed brown sugar
1/2cGranulated sugar
2 Eggs
2tbMilk
2tsVanilla
1 3/4cAll-purpose flour
1tsBaking soda
1/2tsSalt (optional)
2 1/2cOats, uncooked
  One 12 ounce package (2
  Cups) Semi
  Sweet chocolate morsels
1cCoarsely chopped nuts
  (optional)

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Beat together margerine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well. Drop by rounded table- spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. * Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store in tightly covered container. About 5 Dozen.

* FOR EASY BAR COOKIES: Press dough onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely; cut into bars. Store tightly covered. About 3 Dozen. [end of recipe]
